Possessiveness

Osho on Possessiveness - Only things can be possessed; beings cannot be possessed

There is nothing worse than this that you can do, that you are capable of: reducing a being to a thing. And that's what possession is.

Only things can be possessed; beings cannot be possessed.
You can have a communion with a being.
You can share your love, your poetry, your beauty, your body, your mind.
You can share but you cannot do business.
You cannot bargain.
You cannot possess a man or a woman.
But everybody is trying to do that all over the earth.

The result is this madhouse we call the planet earth. You try to possess -- it is naturally impossible, it cannot happen in the very nature of things. Then there is misery. The more you try to possess a person, the more that person tries to become independent of you, because every person has a birthright to be free, to be himself or herself. You are trespassing on the privacy of the person, which is the only sacred place in the whole world. Neither Israel is sacred, nor is Kashi sacred, nor is Mecca sacred.

The only sacred space in the true sense is the privacy of a person -- his or her independence, the being hood. If you love a person you will never trespass.

Remain open: perhaps it may happen again -- if not with this person, then with another person. The question is not persons, the question is of love. Love should remain flowing, it should not be stopped. But in their stupidity people start thinking, "If this person goes out of my hands then I am going to starve my whole life without love." And he does not know that by trying to hold this person permanently in his captivity, he will starve. He will not get love. You cannot get love from a slave. Ownership is double slavery. The one whose master we become certainly becomes our salve, but we also become his slave. The master is also the salve of his salve.

If you are possessed you lose your very soul. Man and Women love eachopther only while they are not yet in a fixed relationship. As the relationship settles, love disappears. Once the relationship is fixed, instead of love, something else takes place: possessiveness. They still go on calling it love, but you cannot deceive existence. Just by calling it love you cannot change anything. It is now hate, not love. It is fear, not love. It is adjustment, not love.
It is compromise, not love. It can be anything -- but not love.

Visible and invisible : A man tied a cow with a rope and was dragging it towards the jungle when a sanyasin passes by.The sanyasin stopped and said to."I want to ask a question."Is this cow tied to the man or is the man tied to the cow?" The people of the village said,"It is clear and simple that the cow is tied to the man."Then the sanyasin asked,"If the cow runs away, will the man run after it or not?"They said,"He would have to run."

The sanyasin said,"The cow is tied with the visible rope and the man is tied with an invisible rope.He cannot leave the cow. There is a rope around the cow's neck, which can be seen. The cow has a rope around this man's neck too, which is clear but can not be seen."

This is the only difference between masters and slave- One's slavery is visible and the other's slavery is invisible. The possessor becomes the possessed.

Non-possessiveness arises by looking for answers to the questions : "How do I become my own masters?

Lyrics I Like

I loves lyrics of this philosophical sad song

English Translation of this song:

This world of palaces, thrones, and crowns
This world of societies that resent humanity
This world of those hungry for material wealth
What is this world to me, even if I can have it?

Each body is afflicted, each soul thirsty
With confused eyes and hearts full of sorrow
Is this the world or the realm of the senseless
What is this world to me, even if I can have it?

It is an establishment that worships death
Where it costs less to die than to breathe
What is this world to me, even if I can have it?

Here youth wanders in apathy
Young bodies are decorated and sold in the market
Where love is treated as a product to trade
What is this world to me, even if I can have it?

God Said 'NO'

I come a Cross through this simple but very meaningful poem today, which teach us what should we ask to god during prayer.

I asked God to take away my pain
God said, No.
It is not for Me to take away, but
for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my
handicapped child okay.
God said No.
His spirit is okay, his body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said No.
Patience is by-product of tribulations;
it isn't granted,it is learnt.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said No.
I give you blessings,Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said No.
Suffering draws you apart from
wordly cares and brings you closer to Me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said No.
You must grow own your own,but
I will prune you to make
you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I
might enjoy life.
God said No.
I will give you life,so that
you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me love others,
as much as He/She loves me.
God said...Aaahh,finally
you have an idea.

Only Internal beauty is Beautiful

An inexperienced little mouse once came across a cockerel.Never having seen one before, the little mouse was so afraid of the cockerel's beak, its feathers and red crest, that he ran away.Further on,the mouse saw a cat. What a handsome animal,he thought;what a soft fur, what striking eyes! When the mouse reached home,he told his mother what he had seen."You silly mouse,"she said,"Never go by appearances. The terrible animal that you saw was a harmless cockerel, while the fine looking one is our enemy, the cat."

Dissolve Negativity

Two crows challenged each other to see which of them could fly highest, while carrying a sack of the same size. The first crow filled his back with cotton and laughed at the other crow who had filled his instead with salt which was much heavier. When, however,it began to rain,as the second crow had expected, the salt began to dissolve. The cotton absorbed water and became so heavy that first crow did not even have the strength to fly off the ground and he had admit defeat.

Love

What is Love?
"Love is an emotion of strong affection and personal attachment".

Love refers to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging as below :
#1.pleasure : "I loved that meal"..."I love Western music"..."I love Indian movies"
#2. interpersonal attraction "I love my partner"
#3. Emotional affection "I love my parents"..."I love my friend"..."I love my dog"

In philosophical context: "love is a virtue representing all of human kindness, compassion, and affection".

Different religion have different definition of love. But in Sufism Love describe very nicely.
According to Sufism Ishq, divided into two kinds.

#1.Ishq-e-Haqīqi : "the love of God". It refers to the belief that only God is worth loving and He is the only one who can return His creature's love for Him.

#2.Ishq-e Majāzi : It refers to the love for God's creation i.e. love of a man for a woman and vice versa. It is said to be generated by beloved person's external beauty.Ishq-e Majāzi can eventually lead to Ishq-e Haqiqi.

In Ishq-majazi lovers have normal earthly feelings of joy, pain, agony and ecstasy. In Ishq-Haqiqi the lover is human and the beloved is God.But they do not ask for worldly comforts, they do not yearn for heaven nor are they afraid of hell. They seek only the enchanting sight of the Lord (beloved).

Two best Examples Which shows Ishq-e-Haqiqi :

#1.Meerabai : As we know Her God and lover is same...'Krishana'.

#2. Narsinh Mehta : Devine love of Narsinh for loard Krishana.

Ishq-e-Haqiqi is a supreme state of Love and it is almost impossible to achieve. Here physical presence of person or thing is nigligible.Your expression of love (Izhar e mohabbat) towards your lover is not even important.Ishq-e-Haqiqi is a prayer from heart which known as bandgi in urdu. Here the person becomes masochist and escapist. In my paradigm the common imbecility of human mind is that most of the lovers thinks that their love is unique...purest and ultimate. They consider themselves as an incarnation of Laila-majnu...Hir-ranja...an sohni-mahiwal. but they don't know Ishq-e-Haqiqi is not as easy as Ishq-e-mijaji.

Gulzar saheb Explain Ishq-e-Haqiqi beautifully in his very famouse song 'Chaiya...chaiya...".
"Jinke Sar Ho Ishq Ki Chaaon
Paanv Ke Neeche Jannat Hogi"

"Gulposh kabhi itraaye kahin
Mehke to nazar aa jaaye kahin
Taaveez banaake pehnoon usay
Aayat ki tarah mil jaaye kahin"

One great poet says that t "Ishq Majazi is the flower and Ishq Haqiqi is its fruit."

How are you?

I got message in my cellphone today morning in gujarati as below :

"Saru chhe loko amstu j puchhe chhe ;
Kem Cho...?

Sacho javab mange to
Agharo sawal chhe" !...

In English it means...

"Its good people ask How are you? just for greeting each other...
otherwise...

the question is very tough"!...

Good in Bad Emotions

Every emotion that has been given to us by nature has a specific function whether it is anger,jealousy,ego,self-pity.

It is against the basic principal of nature to hand us anything which cannot be put to good use.The catch is that these emotions, like everything else should be used in moderation and for the specific purpose for which they were meant.Only when they are over-used do they become negative.

#1. Case Of Anger :

It plays an important role in our lives. It saves us from other people's wrongs and motivates us to take remedial action.

When M.K.Gandhi was thrown out of a train in South Africa,he must have felt angry---This anger is what helped him to embark on a journey that course of Indian history. It was that way he expressed his anger and the actual channelisation of his emotions that is important.

When a man of understanding uses certain emotions for the larger good, how can we label the emotions, negative?

#2. Case Of Jealousy

Jealousy is another emotion which helps us to elevate ourselves to better positions. It makes us compare ourselves with people who have attained something better in life.Jealousy when used to coax ourselves to do better in life is not wrong, but when this same emotion is used to hurt others,it can play havoc.

#3. Case Of Ego

We label ego .is self-respect gone berserk.Ego helps us to find our individuality and position in society. It stops people from treating us as doormats.

#4. Case Of Self-pity

Self-pity is labelled as devilish by everybody.I disagree completely. It helps us ascertain whether it is only we who are responsible for the mess in our lives or whether outside circumstances, people, and places have played a role.It is up to us how we put to use a certain emotion bestowed upon us by nature.Let us then elevate ourselves to the level where we can find goodness in things that have been labeled bad.

Divso judai na - Gani Dahiwala

"તમે રાજરાણીનાં ચીર સમ, અમે રંક નારની ચૂંદડી !
તમે બે ઘડી રહો અંગ પર, અમે સાથ દઈએ કફન સુધી."

I have no superlatives to describe the great lyrics of Gani Dahiwala and voice of Rafi Saheb.I dedicate this song to my all gujju Friends

છે અજબ પ્રકારની જીદંગી, કહો એને પ્યારની જીદંગી ;

જો હદયની આગ વધી ‘ગની’, તો ખુદ ઈશ્વરે જ કૃપા કરી;
કોઈ શ્વાસ બંધ કરી ગયું, કે પવન ન જાય અગન સુધી.

- ગની દહીંવાલા

Evergreen Tree by Cliff Richard

Strength of this song is beautiful composition specially the pieces of guitar used by composer was supurb.

Lyrics :

Oh darling, will our love be like an evergreen tree
Stay ever green and young as the seasons go
Your kisses could make love grow like an evergreen tree
Bloom in the summer's sun and the winter's snow

On every branch will blossom, dreams for me and you
Our tree of love will stay ever green, if our hearts stay ever true

Oh darling, I love you so, don't you know that I'll be
True 'til the leaves turn blue on the evergreen tree

On every branch will blossom, dreams for me and you
Our tree of love will stay ever green, if our hearts stay ever true
Oh darling, I love you so, don't you know that I'll be
True 'til the leaves turn blue on the evergreen tree

On the evergreen tree, on the evergreen tree.

One day in your life

"One Day in Your Life" is a song recorded by Michael Jackson for his 1975 album, Forever, Michael. and 1981 album, One Day in Your Life. Later released as a single in 1981 due to the strong buzz that generated from the sales of Jackson's hit 1979 album Off the Wall, even though Jackson released that album on a different label. While a modest U.S. hit, it was a bigger hit in the UK, where it became Jackson's first solo recording to hit #1 on the UK Singles Chart. It was number one in the UK for 2 weeks in June 1981, succeeding "Being with You" by Smokey Robinson. This song also featured strongly on the South African singles charts.

It went on to become the 6th best-selling single of 1981 in the UK.

The most I love about this song is Lyrics of this song. Its real soul touching.

Lyrics :

One day in your life
you'll remember a place
Someone's touching your face
You'll come back and you'll look around you

One day in your life
You'll remember the love you found here
You'll remember me somehow
Though you don't need me now
I will stay in your heart
And when things fall apart
You'll remember one day...

One day in your life
When you find that you're always waiting
For the love we used to share
Just call my name
And I'll be there

(Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh...)

You'll remember me somehow
Though you don't need me now
I will stay in your heart
And when things fall apart
You'll remember one day...

One day in your life
When you find that you're always longing
for the love we used to share
Just call my name
And I'll be there

(Ohh...)

Does God Exist?

A man went to a barber's shop for a haircut and shave. He started chatting with the barber attending to him. They talk about various things and got around to discussing God.

They barber said: "You say that God exists but I don't believe that."
"Why do you say that?" asked the client. "Well,it's so easy;you just have to step out in the street to realise that God does not exist.Tell me,if God was there, would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be no suffering nor pain.I can't think of a God who would let all these horrible things happen."

The client thought for a while, but chose not to respond because he didn't want to get into an argument. The barber finished his job and the client walked out of the shop.As he walked down the street,he noticed a young man with long hair and beard. It seemed he had not had a haircut or a shave for a long timeand looked rather unkempt and disheveled. The client walkedback to the barber's shop and said rather nonchalantly to the barber:
"Know what? barber don't exist."

"How can you say such things?"asked the barber."I am here and I am a barber." He told the client in a challenging tone."No!"The client exclaimed. "They don't exist, because if they did, there wouldn't be people with long hair and beards like that man I just saw in the street. "Of course, barbers exist, what happens is that people do not come to them." 'Exactly!" affirmed the client."That's the point.God does exist, what happens if people do not look for him that's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."
